SHOULDER ARTHROSCOPY COMPLICATIONS
- INFECTIONS. In spite of using antibiotic prophylaxis, there is always risk of infection after any surgical process. In shoulder arthroscopy cases the infection rate represents around the 1%. It is usually a superficial infection whose solution consists of an antibiotic pattern.
- NEUROLOGICAL INJURIES. Unusual.
- RE-RUPTURE OF REPAIRED STRUCTURES. It may happen for different reasons: a bad rehabilitation process, suture dehiscence or used material failure.
- JOINT STIFFNESS. Joint stiffness may vary from restricting motion slightly to producing important constraints.
